Layan Alnajjar

Layan graduated from the University of Connecticut in May 2023, with a major in Marketing and a minor in Digital Marketing & Analytics. At UConn, she served as President of Students for Justice in Palestine. Currently, she works at a tech company based in New Jersey, specializing in trend research and socio-cultural marketing.
Layan is a main organizer in the Connecticut and Massachusetts area. She is heavily involved in the activism space through demonstrations, education, and organization. Currently, she's on the executive steering committee of the Connecticut Palestine Solidarity Coalition and is an active member of the Boston Coalition for Palestine. She works very closely with CT American Muslims for Palestine and Students for Justice in Palestine branches across the nation. |
Nour Alqaddumi

Nour, a senior at the University of Connecticut, is a prelaw student with aspirations of pursuing graduate school. Over the past two years, she has actively participated in Students for Justice in Palestine, where she currently holds the position of Vice President. Nour's involvement extends beyond this organization, as she is also a member of Women in Business
Recognized as a key organizer within the movement in Connecticut, Nour serves on the steering committee of the Connecticut Palestine Solidarity Coalition and holds a position on the board of Eyewitness Palestine. Throughout the year, she collaborates with CT organizations to coordinate various initiatives & events regarding Palestine. |
Basel Alnajjar

Basel is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a major in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. At UConn, he served as the president of the Students for Justice in Palestine chapter for two years. Currently, he works as an Environmental Engineer in Connecticut, hoping to translate his work in environmental amelioration to the Palestinian cause.
Basel is one of the lead organizers for Palestinian mobilization within the state of Connecticut. He has been involved in the activism space for years, participating in demonstrations, educational initiatives, political meetings, etc. He serves on the steering committee of the CT Palestine Solidarity Coalition and collaborates with Students for Justice in Palestine, CAIR, and other Palestinian-liberation orgs. |
Heba Eljafarawi |
Heba graduated from University of Saint Joseph with a Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies and completed her undergraduate studies at University of Hartford with a bachelors degree in Health Sciences. She has 3 years of experience in Urgent care and currently specializes in Pulmonary and critical care in Connecticut. She also took part in a medical mission trip to Turkey in 2023 through International Medical Relief, providing medical assistance to those affected by the earthquake. With family members back in Gaza, she aims to help those affected by recent events and work towards providing humanitarian aid through joining We Will Return. She hopes to bring assistance to Palestinians who are in need. |
Jihad Al-Dajani |
Jihad is currently the CEO of Randix International Inc., wherein he specializes in the acquisition and liquidation of restructured companies. Separately, he is Co-President of a family-owned real estate company, specializing in low-income residential housing. Jihad is a member of the Palestinian House of New England and the US Palestinian Council. Jihad has also assisted UNRWA's Khan Yunis and Gaza City chapters. |
