Israel's ongoing military occupation of the West Bank in addition to its siege and blockade on Gaza crushes the life, liberty, and freedom of the Palestinian people. Without affording Palestinians a voice, right, or vote, Israel exercises military control over Palestinians' essential functions, including freedom of movement, commerce, and zoning.
Israel’s oldest human rights organization, B’tselem, issued a report declaring that the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea - which encompasses Israel (occupied Palestine), Gaza, and the occupied West Bank - exists as a single, Israeli, apartheid regime. It strives to entrench, deepen and make irreversible Zionist supremacy in every corner of the land. Through Israel’s blockade of Gaza and its military occupation of the West Bank, this separate and unequal reality denies Palestinians self-determination and crushes their life, liberty, and pursuit of freedom.
The Palestinian people are among the most highly educated populations in the world. Yet, as victims of Israeli settler-colonialism, Palestinians and the displaced Palestinian refugees in neighboring states remain reliant on the support of the United Nations, donor countries, and the donations of many organizations like We Will Return. Until International pressure corrects this apartheid imbalance by realizing freedom, justice and equality for all people between the river and the sea, as well as all refugees, We Will Return commits to supporting families whom, by no fault of their own, require assistance.
Recent Situation
The suffering of our Palestinian brothers and sisters under military occupation has reached new heights as a result of the ongoing Israeli oppression and settlement expansion, the de-funding of UNRWA, and the mounting health-crisis. This has been escalated recently by the barbaric, abhorrent aggression on the people of Gaza. Over 300,000 Gazans have been mercilessly murdered - with thousands more trapped under the rubble of destruction - since October 2023 by the genocidal Israeli regime. At the same time, thousands of Palestinians in the West Bank have been illegally detained, arrested without trial, and consistently terrorized at the hands of the Israeli Occupation Forces. Our Palestinian brothers and sisters need us now more than ever before.
"We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians." - Nelson Mandela
Current Situation
The Palestinian economical, political, and healthcare systems have been crippled by the Israeli occupation. With rising unemployment, declining opportunities, and limited access to basic medical treatment, life has never been bleaker for the Palestinian people. Despite these mounting hardships, Palestinian families remain steadfast in their perseverance to maintaining their homeland and achieve a better world for their children. Yet, our assistance is needed in order to pave a path of prosperity for our brothers and sisters.
