In January 2024, Israel accused United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff of being involved in the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, but provided no evidence to support these serious claims. An independent review conducted by the UN Secretary-General found no evidence that any UNRWA staff participated in these attacks. The review confirmed that UNRWA has strong systems in place to ensure neutrality in its operations (Amnesty International USA, HRW).

This October marks one year since the people of Gaza showed the world their determined resolve in the face of unimaginable hardship. A year ago, Palestinians in Gaza demonstrated that the colonized can resist and rise against their colonizers. Despite the tremendous loss, they stood tall—and continue to do so.
On August 3rd, International Watermelon Day, we hosted a Sip and Paint event and fundraiser with Semilla Collective at Mazorca in solidarity with Palestine. We raised $936!
In June, people were invited to join the CT-Palestine Solidarity Cultural Collective for their first benefit concert, with proceeds going to We Will Return (@wewillreturnpse). 
In June we hosted a beautiful fundraiser picnic to raise money in support of the people of Gaza! The event was filled with teach-ins, games, amazing food, tradition, culture, and more. People came together in solidarity for their community.
