This October marks one year since the people of Gaza showed the world their determined resolve in the face of unimaginable hardship. A year ago, Palestinians in Gaza demonstrated that the colonized can resist and rise against their colonizers. Despite the tremendous loss, they stood tallâand continue to do so.
A Year of Loss and Resilience
Since the onset of violence in October 2023, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics has reported over 22,000 Palestinian martyrs in the span of just a few months, with 98% of the casualties occurring in Gaza. Tragically, 40% of those killed were children, and 30% were women (PCBS). Despite this genocide, Palestinians remain persistent in their resistance, from Gaza to the West Bank and beyond. The world cannot remain silent. This Global Day of Action for Palestine is a reminder that the struggle for freedom and dignity is far from over. Palestinians have been fighting against the Zionist oppression for nearly a century, and their resolve has only grown stronger.
Why We March
We will march because silence in the face of such brutality is complicity. We cannot rest until Palestine is free, and justice is secured for the Palestinian people. âð¾ Join us. Speak up. Act. The time to stand in solidarity is now. We will not be silenced, and we will not rest until liberation is ours.
